APPRECIATE: I have very loving, wise parents whose legacy was to have fun, and enjoy life (live in the moment) which has taken a tole physically on them. My mother has transitioned over already, but my father is like some miraculous Energizer Bunny that keeps on beating the life drum at a rapid pace towards his 80's. Right now he is having a very difficult time hearing and the drum beat beats to a slower pace. He still runs circles around most people but lately it has been frustrating and somewhat depressing for him when he cannot hear. Their is fluid built up in his ears from what I believe is the result of his Air Force Airplane mechanic days with the roar of the jet planes and from smoking cigarettes for over 70 years so it is hard not to worry about him.

The heartbreak I have when my loved ones are sick or dealing with imperfection is very difficult because their is not much I can do but love them. I am learning worry doesn't help them or me and to appreciate them and the energy they offer by teaching me about compassion, having fun, and love. I also understand when I am in his presence that I must focus on his great strength and determination rather than worrying about the struggle. TOWANDA!!!

Hi Lisa, its hard to see our parents change over the years from the vibrant people they once were as far as energy and health. This is also a time of making memories of how they are facing their life. Worry does nothing but give you wrinkles and headaches. You have been blessed with having the kind of parents that love you and have raised you with a love, fun and enjoyment of the moment. You will always have that and no one can take that away. Have a good Sunday dear....Bren

Lisa, my dad is 83 and was in the Air Force also. He is slowing down but still keeps going, and going, and going......I love this song, once of my favorites! Hope you had a great weekend, and have an awesome Monday.
