59Carol's Journal, 20 Nov 21

All things considered a modest gain of 0.4 is probably a blessing! I have been indulging in candy of late - in particular I fell into a 'small' bag of bridge mix. When I did the math after the fact I had eaten over 1100 calories! That was two days ago however I have also been eating some small wrapped candies and have averaged around 150 extra calories a day doing that. In general I have been about 200 calories per day over the number of calories that lead to weight loss. So no mystery as to the gain - more of a mystery why the gain wasn't higher!

My rental unit that was flooded last July looks like it will be available for rent December 1. Probably won't get it rented before January 1. Another renter has also given notice so two units to find renters for.

Did some batch cooking yesterday - made some soup and portioned some rice and beans for my lunches.

Working on getting Christmas gifts purchased and wrapped. More than half done. Going to a local craft market today and hope to get a bit more done!

Liz Andra- you are so right! My sweet tooth is getting the better of me. I have been trying to find a something but the quantities they are sold in are too large! My go to is the bulk areas where I just put a little in the bag. With Covid they are not allowing you to help yourself but are prepackaging the stuff into too large quantities for me!!

59Carol, our Winco never stopped with the bulk areas. Funny that...

LizAndra- really? The bulk barn didn't either but that is 2.5 hour drive away. The grocery stores all did in our community. They just packaged things into containers or bags and put a price tag on it. Tended to be 2 cups or more packages and I truly do not need two cups of bridge mix!! I literally buy 5-7 pieces at a time. Just enough to satisfy my sweet tooth.

59Carol, I don't think so. But I could be wrong. I did Instacart for the first 5 or 6 months of the pandemic.
