I hit a plateau for the past couple of weeks or since I weighed myself last. The weight wasn't coming down even though I was working out the same amount of time and eating pretty much the same amount of food and of course as I write this I realized that the weight couldn't go down because I wasn't doing anything different but I thought that I had managed to be on 2 lbs loss per week route with the exercises and the diet. So I decided to fast for 36 hours and surprisingly I wasn't hungry at all during that time. I even went to work and also went for a run during the fasting period. I only had water and coffee and tea without sugar of course. That is how I hit the 166 mark and now I guess I will continue with the diet and workout and do another fasting whenever I hit a plateau. I am also reducing the portion sizes of my meals. I am still eating vegetables (kale, arugula, onions, tomatoes etc) I have incorporated a grapefruit in the mornings before my workout and I feel good.
I am eating either tuna or chicken with my salads. Sometimes I add chickpeas or lentils to the salads. The dressing is a combination of olive oil, half a lemon, grated garlic, some spices, turmeric, dry oregano, black pepper, pink salt, Balsamic vinegar and a spoon of Djon mustard. I would say very nutritious. I went to the doctor last week and had my blood, urine and poop tested and all the results were great, the numbers were good, liver and kidney are working fine. My skin is also softer and I have noticed that I am healing faster than before. Like I used to get cuts in my hands because I work in construction and sometimes I would deal with debris and there is always some loose wire or nail anyway, now every time I get a scratch or a cut, it heals within a day or two. Whereas before it would take like a week. So things are good. I will continue posting my milestones.
