Nikina70's Journal, 22 Oct 21

This week I'm owning up to what the scale says this morning. It was my goal weight when I started here in 2013 and I've hit it many times along the way. This year I've also gone all the way above 72.5kg for a while. My body keeps returning to 69.6kg pretty much every Monday morning for the last two months now so it really is extremely hard to get away from this zone. But, in the end - it's just a number and I will push on regardless. At this point I'm just glad to be at the level I am with fitness and I'm feeling strong and healthy and that's really what counts to me. Will probably take some progress pics and measurements at the end of the month.

This morning I did:
EPIC 5 Minute Warm Up - Full Body | Caroline Girvan
then today's workout was her:
POWERFUL Pyramid Training - Full Body Workout | EPIC III Day 34

I'm sure it's a really great workout - but I just had to modify way too much and I'm really not ready for it yet. Amazed that I managed all the push presses at the beginning (and so glad I kept my weight at 4kg each). The second exercise looked way too much like a burpee with weights so I just did a bent over row to a squat and then overhead press instead - trying to keep it all in a fluid movement. For the lunges next I kept them stationery with weights at my sides and added a hammer curl with one weight at the top. Also wasn't feeling the push-ups so did chest presses instead. Kind of feel like this workout was missing some ab work for a full body workout, but heck, I'm just glad I kept moving throughout. Don't think it will stay in my rotation though even if/when I do reach that level of fitness, but who knows. Maybe I'll come back and conquer it one day.

Last week my daily average calories came to 2140 so all the cake, pudding, pastries and treats all took their toll, but they were all completely worth it. This week Monday was a bit of a blowout, but the rest of the week was fairly good. Hopefully getting back to basics since Tuesday will mean a result on the scale by next Friday. Completed 4 strength workouts this week and even though I only did one walk so far I'm ok with that. If I can do the same or better next week that would be great!

Happy Friday everyone! Have a great one!!! xxx

Your situation is no disaster with 4x really tough fitness sessions each week you are continuing to improve your fitness every week - The reality is that fitness trumps weight loss and you are doing a fantastic job at fitness. Going forward how about doing some thinking and hatching up a cake avoidance plan for November to help you past that sticky 69.6Kg? It can be done. I have been looking a the same cake in the kitchen for three days I even cut a portion for Claire. Not eaten a crumb. Fingers are crossed for you.

Adpully, that is exactly the advice I needed. Thank you! Yes, I need to work out some strategies for the weekends as well as I do for the week days. I think that is my downfall quite often and I know it can be done as I've done it before. Good on you for resisting that cake - it does look delicious! And thanks so much for your support!💪👍

when I stuck at the same weight for 6 weeks. I went on a one day fast just drinking black. coffee lemon tea and water all day .it worked and I lost 2lb over night and kick started my diet . now I'm back to gradually losing the weight. keeping fit will help the weight Loss. I use a gravity walker 5 days a week as it doesn't put strain on your joints..( I have bad rhuematoid arthritis so difficult to exercise) don't lose hope if you stay at same weight. you will eventually loose the weight with perseverence x
