This is an odd week for me. I am always pleased to log in a loss in this case I am down 0.4 pounds. The last two days I was a pound more down so I was anticipating a 1.5 pound loss. So I am disappointed.

I have continued to find portioning peanuts to be difficult. I have now run out of them (yesterday) and don't intend to buy any for the next while. The peanut butter in the freezer has worked well.

The last 10 minutes before bedtime is my most problematic time of my day. This is when I will overeat nuts and honey. I am looking for something sweet and filling in the way that bread or potatoes are filling. A piece of cake would be exactly what I want in that moment - filling and sweet! I don't have bread in the house nor do I have potatoes often. So I am looking at nuts to give me that same satiated feeling before bedtime. The other aspect is that I am tired and therefore at my most vulnerable when it comes to eating choices.

In the rest of my life - the house stuccoing is moving forward - slowly. I have reason to hope that there will be a giant leap forward by next Friday provided the weather cooperates.

I attended a Truth and Reconciliation ceremony last Thursday which was moving. I will be going to the Sisters in the Spirit walk on Monday in honour of murdered and missing aboriginal women.

Next Saturday our family will be celebrating Thanksgiving at my house. I am excited as we haven't gathered as a family for a long time. Not quite all of us will be present as my son and his wife live out of province and won't be here. The menu is going to be pretty basic however the liklihood of eating extra calories is very high. I am planning how I will approach this meal. I have a great deal of control since I am the cook which helps!
