SherryeB's Journal, 28 Jul 21

The scale is moving in the wrong direction 😐 but I'm sure today's rise is due to water retention. Lot's of salt in the soy sauce I mixed into the Wasabi & ginger for my Sushi yesterday. And probably more salt in the canned beans & tomatoes in last night's dinner. Calories were down for the day

I'm not feeling confident today will help to send it the opposite direction. Book Club tonight with yummy food & adult beverages on the agenda. No problems! I'll just have to be good the rest of the week. I had fruit, bagel with PB & coffee. Plan is to either wait for dinner....I'll be eating earlier than usual anyway....or have a very light snack if I'm feeling too hungry this afternoon. I bought Madeleines, a combo Brownie Madeleine & fresh strawberries to contribute for dessert. I looked for something light to eat after the Low Country Boil.

Mixed up a fresh batch of Hummingbird food. Had the thought that these days they're the only ones eating from my sugar canister.

I was out at dusk spraying deer repellant last night. Hubby took the dogs out & came in saying they were in the front yard munching on my hostas. It keeps raining & it dilutes the repellant. They weren't actually eating the hostas but they've been biting off the developing buds on the Yarrow & geraniums. It seems to take forever for the buds to develop & open so we're back to square one. I have so much green in the gardens, I put a bunch of metal flower, butterfly & bird stakes in spots for more color. I'm glad to have the Black-eyed Susan's blooming all over, cause they add lots of cheery yellow. I've managed to keep the deer from eating them before they bloom.

Well, speaking of the gardens...I need to water a few things, fill the hummingbird feeder.

Also laundry in the dryer...and fit in my exercise routine. The day is slipping away so I can't sit here drinking coffee all day ☺

I read "A Simple Plan" years ago. As I recall, the plan didn't go well...

Liz, No it didn't! That book was a bit traumatizing!

It's not moving far. You're in control. You are a model of maintaining in style. You eat a really broad spectrum of fantastic things while managing to keep the needle in a very narrow band. Many aspire to that, but few succeed. WTG SB!
