SherryeB's Journal, 22 Jul 21

I have decided I'd like to get below my previous low of 140.4 in the next month. I was at that weight the end of Aug. 2020 & have been there a few times since. If I can get below 140, that will be the least I've weighed since probably when I got married in 1992. Good food & drink and getting into my 40's contributed to a gradual weight gain over the last years. Even thought I went up & down in weight, I never got as low as before my marriage. I'm pretty sure I could get there....not so sure about maintaining, though.

I'm flirting with a gain tomorrow, though. Hubby brought me steak Quesadilla from his lunch that I have eaten. It was very tasty but as all restaurant meals, I can only estimate the calories. I don't want to deprive myself to achieve this goal, so I'll just have to see what tomorrow brings.

It is quite warm today so I wasn't sure how working out on the deck would be. I put on shorts & a tank & it wasn't too bad. I did dribble a little water from my thermos on my chest in the middle of my workout....that was nice.

I decided to serve baked potatoes with our Salmon & asparagus last night. I chose a small potato so it was only about 150 calories. The sour cream & butter added 90 calories. Just enough to enjoy but not too much. I chose sugar free cherry jello & whipped cream for dessert so ended the day under my allowed calories.

We're having Hot Italian sausage for dinner. I need to stick with one link & fill up on a nice salad to go with it. My tomato plants are starting to produce some ripe tomatoes 🍅😋 Next Summer I might branch out & do cucumbers & green beans. My deck garden was an experiment & it seems to be doing well. I could buy fresh tomatoes at the farmers market but there's something about producing my own.

Book Club is next week @ my neighbor's. She's doing a Low Country Boil 🍤🌽🦐🥔 I've had hers before....it's really yummy! She is a great cook. We'll probably eat down by the river if the weather permits. We have had so much rain lately....I hope we get a break next week.

Out of curiosity I pulled out the dress I wore on my wedding day. The last time I tried it....probably after Melissa was able to fit into her wedding dress....it was a few inches shy of zipping up. Today, I was able to zip it up...A tiny bit snug but it zipped!

I am sure you will reach your goal! And I'm sure your wedding dress will fit comfortably then too. What a great NSV! You always seem to plan so well and also include delicious looking meals without deprivation and I think you set a wonderful example of 'all in moderation', which I strongly believe in too. Thank you for sharing SherryeB and way to go! 💕
