i seem to be gaining and losing the same two pounds! i think some of it is salt retention. i had a jennie o sausage a few days ago. that put on weight like no other. i've stayed at or under my calorie count so i don't get it. just received the book 'burn' can't wait to read the latest info on weight loss! i walked two hours at the gym track yesterday (slow as a snail with my walker but it did it!) and then did weight machines 1/2 hr. really really trying to up my activity but with recent knee surgery and bad bad chronic back pain its been really challenging. this back is killing me. i don't know what i'm going to do. its been extremely debilitating and depressing. i'm so motivated to lose weight to try to ease the pain in my back. every little bit helps or its supposed to anyway

Keep to your regime! Eventually your body will get the message and respond appropriately. It sounds to me like you are doing all the right things! And... sometimes you just have to make observations without judging (Jennie O) . That's how we learn what works and what doesn't in our personal journeys. For your back, I have a suggestion - but maybe you already to this. I sometimes have back problems and I find icing it really helps. Do you have a gel ice pack? I always have one ready to go in the freezer.
