Today my weigh in is looking good! I have dropped 2 pounds effectively wiping out last weeks gain of 0.8 pounds. However in the last 3 weeks I am only averaging a drop of 0.6 pounds per week. Those gains really set a person back even ones under a pound.

Starting today and for the next 3 days I have to go on a low fibre diet for my upcoming colonoscopy. I really don't like the idea of no raw fruits and vegetables and white bread and white rice!! No longer foods that I look forward to. This morning I have to not eat my morning oatmeal. It is only for a few days and the test is important so I will 'suck it up'. Don't know what this will do to my weight this week and to my hunger levels. Again - it is short term and I know it.

Had my annual mammogram yesterday and all looks good. That is always a relief. Since having stage 4 breast cancer, the everything is fine isn't necessarily a given!

This week have worked a bit with insurance around the water damage to my rental unit. Looks like approximately 3-4 months of water (that I use in my own home) went through the unit in 5 hours. No wonder the place is totally gutted. It was 26 cubic metres of water or approximately 6000 gallons of water.

I hear you on the mammogram news. I'm a survivor, too, and that test is always fraught, even after 21 years. Congrats on the negative results!

I’m glad that everything is GOOD, I just had a colonoscopy, and he removed a minor, not a dangerous polyp. Three y ago, he saved my life by drawing a 1cm-pre-cancerous polyp. At the age of 20 and 27, I had saliva gland cancers, and here I am, soon 65. Life is a wonder; everything will be good. 💪💫

INF- I hear you on all accounts! I have had cancer at ages 22, 40, 55, and 56. I am 62 now. Each time I was proactive and got it early except the breast cancer at 55. That one totally got away on me. I ended up with a lump the size of a mandarin orange and lymph node involvement. Definitely a wake up call. I make sure that I do all of my maintenance work because the alternative is just not good!

liz-andra- I think once you know it CAN be you these tests are always fraught. Congrats on the 21 years! I am at 7 or 8 depends if you count when you are diagnosed or when you are clear!

59Carol, I always count from when I was diagnosed. It was 3 years after I completed treatment when they finally said I was clear. I have spots on my liver that they thought were tumors, but it turned out that they probably aren't.

Living with the knowledge that there may be tumours on your liver for 3 years must have been hard. Always in the back of your mind that things can suddenly go south. I am glad they weren't. Sure gives a person a different outlook on life as well as seeing what is important and what isn't.

59Carol, it was definitely not easy. I had CT scans every 3 months. I had PET scans. At one point they were going to try to biopsy them, but they couldn't find them with the needle. (The ultrasound was wonky about seeing them. It was a weird day.) I can't tell you what a relief it was when the onc told me that he was bored doing CT scans on things that weren't growing.

liz andra- the uncertainty and fear must of been nearly insupportable. Glad you came out the other end. I hope you had people in your life that were able to be supportive.
