I know that I went off the healthy eating path a little bit over the past 5 days while camping; but I also was able to do things I didn’t think I could do during the time of doing them. While biking I went up and down hills with my 5 year old on a weehoo trailer behind me for 10 of the 15 miles we rode on Saturday; not only is that the farthest I’ve ever ridden with a kid on a trailer behind me but also the heaviest I’ve ever had to tow on a bike. I also hiked a fair amount, and climbed a fire tower at the state park. And last but not least I walked across some slippery rocks that are the headwaters of the Mississippi River; so the weight will come off with more walking/doing but those memories are what are important, not how much I’ve gained while enjoying the uninterrupted family time away.
