The scale actually put me just under 200. I was happy not to see that 2 in front. But lets not get too excited, that scale is always fluctuating but I would like to keep this mood so I would like to promise myself that I will not get on that scale until next sunday. Hmm we'll see.

doesn't it just make you exhale??? I loved it... I haven't seen myself under 200 in months... many months. amia, everyone's body is different. i read ur posts that you are still struggling. however you ARE losing weight and if you listen to those who have learned to work this plan, you will be losing as well. as i write this words to you i take my own advice. i've lost 12 pounds in 3 weeks of induction, but i didn't do well in my first week, in fact i totally messed up. i learned that if i'm going to be on this diet, i will not go out to eat with anyone other than my husband who is well aware of what i'm supposed to eat and what i'm not supposed to eat. he is my main support and he's my motivator. even my kids know what i can and cannot eat so they don't offer me anything i can't eat. i learned that i cannot visit friends until i have eaten and take my iced tea with me everywhere i go. i learned that most ppl around me undermine my ability to lose this weight and almost seem to sabotage me by "inviting me" to eat with them. it happened to me twice in the first week... friend telling me come on... just today and i gave in. then later i thought, i'm over weight because i think this way, "just today i'll eat bad and tomorrow i will be good." it has gotten me all the way up to 227lbs thinking this way. so a great part of losing weight is our approach and how we perceive ourselves. so be strong for yourself and your health. understand that you must do the plan correctly and sacrifice if you really want to see change. there is a part of the book that talks about metabolic resistance. it is not that your metabolism is not working, it is that our bodies are so used to us being heavy that it literally fights us to keep the fat and not let us lose weight. so you outsmart your body by restricting the carbs even more. focus on eating protein and make sure you have at least 10-15 carbs of vegetables. i also learned that i was using too many of my allowed net carbs a day on things like half and half and cheese. so lean it out and focus on the good carbs and you will see a difference. i wish you the best of luck!
