Chilly but sunny today. One more colder (but not as cold as last night) night then we start warming up again. Today's afternoon walk should be a bit more enjoyable than yesterday.

I went with chicken, veggies & pasta for dinner last night instead of a planned salad. My calorie count was still good....just above 1800. Tonight is pizza & salad.

I spent way too much time after breakfast trying to get a photo of our new visitor for peanuts on the deck. I did get one of a piggy squirrel with 2 nuts in his mouth but the nuthatch didn't cooperate. A few days ago I observed a titmouse scaring off another bird. I realized it was a new member of our breakfast group. The titmice are happy to eat side by side but no alien birds allowed! We've also had the wrens perusing the nuts but they don't rack them so they only pick thru the shells hoping to find edible remnants.

Hubby & I are planning yardwork for the upcoming weeks. We have LOTS of sticks & small branches to put thru the chipper. Pressure washing the decks is also on the agenda. I also need to add fresh mulch to the gardens & paths. Lots to do 😊
