TUESDAY..I'm just beginning to see, now I'm on my way! It doesn't matter to me...chasing the clouds away! "I am awake basking in the sunshine of life"

Less than one week and the first month of this year will be a memory..I have decided to put the peddle to the metal and rev things up for the next few days. My plan is to get my 1,200 calories in before 6:30PM. 6PM I am home from work which has been extremely stressful and busy (a good thing). I have a tendacy to slip into old thought patterns. To describe this it is as if I am mortal by day and warewolf (wolf it down lol) by evening.

I plan on doing mini-fasts and allowing myself only water, hot tea, or lemon water after 6:30PM. Mary and I have talked about it and plan on going swimming or go for a family walk. The fun of transitioning is playing with the process and making it fun. I know my brain may resist as my warewolf mentality has been taking over lately but I'll use my creativity and think things other then food to enhance my life in those last critical evening hours of the day. I'll keep a thought diary to talk myself through this. One week of this practice shall be a fun challenge! TOWANDA!!!!

Wow that will be quite a feat! I could not eat all my calories by 630...just the sound of it makes me want to eat..lol I wish you lots of luck with this Lisa and hope it gives you the results you are looking for. I always save calories for night because I am a snacker and if I didn't snack I would feel very deprived. You are a brave woman!!

Thanks Cathy, I need to tranquilize the old thought patterns and I figure one week of these mini-fasts and keeping a thought diary will help me gain control in the evening hours...TOWANDA!!!!!!!!!!!

Notes to self: I didn't want to crawl out from underneath the covers this morning..my body felt stiff so I stretched and finally rose. I weighed in and the number fluctuated higher then yesterday but was expected...usually after I do my cardio it fluctuates downward but it went up to a whopping 150! I believe I should replace the battery and see if these fluctuations quit being so extreme. Thinking about my plan for the evening I have decided to allow for one cup of milk and unlimited vegetables if I have the need to munch on something as this is do-able for me. It will keep me out of the candies and cereal or other things I tend to gravitate too when I become the warewolf of fatsecret. I will ask my dear husband to please take his candy out of my view and keep it somewhere else. The academy awards are around the corner and I was thinking that I want to decorate an old trophy of mine for one that reads 135. When I reach my goal my plan is to drop the shawl wearing my little black dress and stand on a piece of red carpet with my Award and write my acceptance speech, lol. Making the process fun...fake it till you make it!!! TOWANDA!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Lisa! You are doing a fantastic job. I love stopping by your journal. You really get to the heart of what changes you need to make and you help me to think about those kind of changes too. Love the idea of decorating your trophy for the academy awards. I can picture you now...All dressed up in your little black dress and standing on that red carpet with a smile that says it ALL. I like fasting and often do it myself. Regarding the wolf it down that sounds like me if I dont get X number of calories in me by 4pm LOL Have fun with challenge

Notes to self: Dinner has been made and I can have it tomorrow in the day as planned. My day was stressful but not nearly as bad as yesterday. I have been able to keep my appetite sustained thoughout this day and am happy with my new resolve. My energy level was great today, as yesterday was good but I felt as if I was in a fog. (deep breath) I will change the battery in the scale next and go swimming around 7PM. TOWANDA!!!

Hello Lisa thats a great attitude little buddy! Have fun swimming. Re the fasting I think once you start it you will get hooked. I can;t do it too often because my body kind of complains and thrives on eating every 2.5 hours while away but when I do fast on weekends boy the feeling is good!

I am eating every 2.5 hours but find it necessary to stop around 6:30 until I figure another way to handle daily stress so that I have more control over what I eat in the bewitching hours. This is another self discovery segment I am doing lol. TOWANDA!!!!

7:26 and Mary doesn't feel like going to the pool this evening so I have been busy visiting with my F.S. buddies. My stomach feels comfort and my energy level is good. I will do some chores around the house and get ready for Wednesday:) Today was a good day. Sleep well everyone and get inspired if you are not feeling so. Let's have fun chasing the clouds away! I cleaned the bottom of my scales feet and it appears to be keeping a consistent weigh in now and is not fluctuating, so I will not need to change the battery as of yet. Read an interesting article about I Am, therefore I am hungry which has given me some ideas and thoughts about living hungry:) it is 8:51PM, my gut brain is still satisfied and I am starting to feel tired...(Yawn)..Goodnight, sweet dreams. like most i use to eat at certain times of the day because that had been the way i was raised...but several months ago i started eating only when i was hungry....like anything you create habits....since im up every morning at 3am..to get ready to be in the gym at 4am...i now eat breakfast or a mini breakfast at 3am...after my gym workout if im hungry i eat, if not then i might just have a protein shake...usually by 930 or 1000 am...my tummy is growling...so i eat lunch...and then about 130 or 2 i eat supper...after 2, then i dont eat again less i get hungry...its a habit a person gets into...food is in the house..and if you go in that room, then you gotta get something ...so once im done eating i do my best to stay outta the kitchen...for me it works..its all a matter of creating a habit and sticking with it...i no longer eat all day long like i once did...less calories going in...less to burn off...

Lisa I know all about that bewitching hour thing I had same problem for some time where I would eat everything at 7pm LMAO. So do you actually hunt for food after 6:30 or just feel more hungry then usual?

How about planning the snack and the time you are going to have it. I have started planning my evening snack which I repeat in my log daily. I know I am going to have it and at what time. It also forces us to have dinner a bit earlier since I like the snack at about 7pm. this way I don't wake up hungry during the night or not ravenous in the morning. I have 1/2 serving of protein powder, 1/2 c greek n/f yogurt, and 1/4 c organic flax cereal. It does the trick for me.
