Keep it up Oregon! I am new on here and I just read your post from February about your boyfriend. I FEEL YOU! My second wife was 150lbs when we met and had had a gastric band before we met. She went back to eating like she used to and stretched her stomach out. She was well over 350 when we divorced 13 years later. I was always a just a very little over weight, but never struggled and just maintained. As I watched her eating whole tubs of ice cream in one sitting and snacking on crap ALL the time, it was impossible not to join her! I love to eat and I have a sweet tooth. I do great as long as it's not in the house, but could not resist when she was enjoying it right in front of me. As I watched her start to get fatter and fatter, I started eating her stashes before she could get to them! In my mind I was trying to save her from herself. Then I hit my 40s and my metabolism slowed down. I went from a lifetime of being 10 to 20 pounds overweight, but basically fit and strong, to gaining TONS OF WEIGHT! I went from 200 to 260 in just over a year. Over the next 5 years it was a more gradual creep up to the high 200's. I was diagnosed with diabetes about 7 years ago. As soon as they put me on insulin, the weight gain speed up. I passed 300 about a year ago. Tried South Beach for a while and did pretty good with it losing 15 pounds the first month. I couldn't sustain it though. After gaing 50 pounds this year and arriving at the 350 mark, it became hard to clean myself on the toilet and I knew this had become a life or death situation. I am now seeing a bariatric Dr in preparation for a gastric sleeve. The diet is EXTREME, but I've lost 10 pounds in 10 days! Probably mostly water weight. I've got a long way to go, but I know I can do this. You can too! I just wanted to let you know that your story is not a cop out, or excuse! If he cares about you and your health, talk to him and explain what's going on. Dont let him ruin your health! Anyways, rant over. Just wanted you to know that your story touched me and give you some affirmation.

Please forgive me Hollywoodoregon. A lot of years ago i did a research for solving my weight issue through bariatric surgery. Broncofanky i am absolutely sure that gastric sleeve is definitely not for sweet teeth. For them it is the sort or long bypass which are also highly recommended for T2 because of obesity. I hope your bariatric doctor made the right decision based on your personal data.

Tassos I'm looking for a way to talk directly to you, but there doesn't seem to be any chat or messaging on this app? Why do you say that? We talked about the options and decided the sleeve was the best for me. Didnt hear anything about sweet tooth though. I actually dont think it's an issue though. As I said, I do just fine if it's not in the house. I dont run out and get something to satisfy an urge. Boredom eating is a bigger issue and feeling full is a good deterrent for me for that.
