SURRENDER DOROTHY......This statement is not so much about giving your self to the clutches of the Wicked Witch of the West. It is more about surrendering to the process of self discovery and growth.
Often times we look around at our current state of affairs and decide that things should be different, or they could be different "if" this wicked witch was not raining on my parade.

The facts:

1. If Dorothy had gotten to the Emerald City one minute sooner, she would have missed out on some part of this very important journey.

2. Could have gone home any time. Inside she knew this, but also knew the journey is much more important than the destination.

3. When the wicked witch was no longer helping Dorothy to grow and become stronger, she simply melted away.

Another fact here is that if things were meant to be different, they would be.

Ask yourself what you are learning from your experience and remember things have always been in a constant cycle of change.

Give your self permission to be happy in the now and trust it's ingenious plan for you. No sooner that you embrace what is and surrender, you will see change.

So when you are back at the Pearly Gates with St. Peter, are you going to say," well I'm back!" or are you going to say, " that was great!"

You're right Bren...it was a very scary movie as a little kid. Lisa, you make some very good points! Alot of the time I am looking forward to something in the future...like this trip to see my grandaughter for the first time. However, I am happy watching my other grandaughter too. Happy in the journey...not always. But I'm working on it!

I practice living in the now and I am free of stress, anxiety and negativity. Love this journal Lisa! We only got today and not even today we only got the present moment as we do not know what comes after this moment... Cherish every moment as if it were your last. :) I liked that movie but then again I love scary movies BOO!
