We got our snow.❄☃️ It arrived around 6 PM & we got maybe an inch or two. No freezing rain overnight so no problems with the power. It had started melting by morning so most is already gone.

I felt like we should have a cold weather breakfast so made blueberry buttermilk pancakes with bacon. I measured out a cup of mix & there was only about a1/4 cup left so I added that in the bowl. That upped the calories for our 4 pancakes just a little. They were nice & moist 😋🫐🥞 I only added just a bit of butter & syrup. We only eat real Maple syrup.

I had a 2 hour phone conversation with my daughter in Texas. She's going through a tough spot. Her daughter moved out around July last year & in with her dad after she graduated. Although my daughter & her ex have been separated about 3 years, they are just now getting divorced. She has had to adjust to living alone, working from home, staying a bit isolated because of Covid. She was really worried in the beginning because she had just finished cancer treatment and her immune system was compromised. She is trying to move on with her life in an environment that is topsy turvy for everyone.

No Super Bowl party for us this year. We've attended a party most every year for the past 25 years. I asked Hubby what he wanted to do about snacks. He said we had plenty of snacks already. He just wanted Chili for dinner so I made a big pot yesterday....all ready to be reheated for tonight. We are accustomed to a huge variety of snacks & food cause everyone always contributed something yummy. And of course....plenty of adult beverages. I will miss the socializing we always did before the game. But, I don't have to worry about all the food I would have eaten.

It's sunny today, so planning a walk soon.
