Another pound gained. I ate pretty much the same way as last week -- no skipped breakfast, some takeout chicken wings with sour cream, my usual ground beef/pork mix, beef jerky and sweets -- so I must have eaten a bit more than usual. However, when I look back at the previous months and years, I have been around my current weight most of the time.

And by "sweets", I mean very simple fat bombs I have been making for the last couple of weeks: some melted Lily's white chocolate chips (faster in the microwave, but riskier) and whatever nuts I have on hand (can be pistachios or crumbled macademia nuts). I pour this into a small set of silicone molds, then I keep it in the freezer for a couple of hours, then I transfer the fat bombs in the fridge. I tend to eat two at a time with coffee, but maybe it is too much! The sweeteners used in the chips are low-carb (even keto) friendly, but according to the keto/low-carb online community, there are some controversial ingredients such as dextrin, sunflower lecithin and even chicory root fibre, that raise either blood sugar, insulin or good old appetite. I am not diabetic (yet, knock on wood), but I have the sweetest tooth so I have to be cautious.

My blood pressure is still fine these days, and my spotting has stopped at last! I think that as long as it is not cancer or something serious like that, it is all good. In any case, I will keep the monitoring.

We are supposed to benefit from some rays of sunshine later today, but it is snowing a bit and it is so dark inside! Good thing I take vitamin D daily!
