Up 1.4 lbs. but still under goal. Not, too bad. A couple of weeks ago I bought a pair of pull on, stretchy corduroy leggings. When I first tried them on I thought they were too tight. I tried them on again & they seemed to give a little so I kept them. I decided to wear them yesterday. They were stretchy but fitted. I could eat but couldn't go crazy without feeling uncomfortable. Even though I did have a full plate of food, the plate wasn't huge. Most of the side dishes were just about a spoon full. I counted them all as 1/2 cup servings in my log but I think some of them were less. Today I've been pretty good. Hubby chose blueberry waffles & bacon for breakfast & I had 1 waffle & 2 slices of bacon. Lunch was a small slice of strawberry apple pie 😊 I did decide to have a hard seltzer & some popcorn for a snack just now.

I packed up all the Fall holiday decor today & moved the group of plants in front of the dining room window where the Christmas tree will go. I also added new bows to the 2 wreaths I hang on the stone pillars to our driveway & hung them. They are usually the last things to go up, but I decided to get them up while the weather was warm & dry. I was considering starting to decorate the front porch but Hubby wasn't happy about that. He's a stickler for no Christmas decor til December 1st. He has been in the 30 plus years we've been together, so no surprise there. I am actually more focused on getting him to paint the dining room ceiling before I decorate. When he painted the kitchen ceiling he stopped right at the wall that devides the rooms. Since we are having the family at our house for Christmas, I would like that done. He's been working on replacing our under counter lights with LEDs. We tried a set of battery operated ones first & they were a disappointment. Now he's doing electric...much better! Anyway, he needed something at Home Depot & he also came home with ceiling paint 😊 I think I won.

I knew yesterday was going to be hard for my sister & nieces, but we all had a very nice day. The weather was warm & we were able to be outside & spend time together. We did eat inside. There were a dozen adults & 4 kids. There were 3 tables set up in different areas for us to sit at. Yesterday was also my great niece's 6th birthday, so we had aittle celebration for her.

My sister usually decorates her home for Christmas the weekend after Christmas. She loves Christmas & her decorations show it. Since she sold her home, she is with her younger daughter. They took her 2 granddaughters back with them last night & had some fun activities planned....buying a live tree (my niece always does but they haven't had that experience) decoratoring, baking cookies. That first year is so hard when you lose your spouse/ Dad...but when it happens a month before the holidays. I'm planning to meet my sis Monday for lunch.

I'm heating up the leftovers I brought home for dinner...so there's turkey, broccoli rice casserole, dressing, cranberries, corn casserole, sweet potato soufflé, mac & cheese. I only scooped up about a half cup of each side so Hubby & I get a smorgasbord of just a taste of everything. I am going to make a salad to go with it. Then it's back to normal eating tomorrow.

We did a Hello Fresh order for next week. That will be nice...3 days I only have to follow the recipe...everything already there to prepare.

What wonderful control in not overdoing the eating. I was not so disciplined. 😊 For the first time ever, I decorated quite a lot for Christmas even before Thanksgiving. I will have to replace and freshen the greenery multiple times over the next month, but I was desperate for color and cheer. I am glad you could be with your family. I hope so much for comfort for those feeling loss. ❤️

Melissa, I'm sure you're enjoying having your house decorated already. Thank you for your kind thoughts. We are pulling together as a family to make our way thru the next few months. My sister is doing well overall...staying busy. She did let down her guard a little today when we had lunch...she shared how much she is missing her husband & said it felt so strange he wasn't there at Thanksgiving. She's holding a lot in...I just hope I can be there for her when she finally lets down. I'm glad I'm close enough I can see her more often.
