Holding steady under goal....a good place to be going into the holiday season 🦃🍛🍷🍪🍪🧀🍗🍸🍰🍾🥂🍬😊 Tonight I'm making a light dinner of Chicken Tortilla Soup (Costco). I'm planning to add a little extra shredded chicken, the rest of a can of three bean mix and some spinach to "beef" it up. Last night instead of a 2nd adult beverage after dinner I had a big wine glass with diet Cran-Pineapple juice & Cherry Limeade sparkling water over ice. Almost zero calories, but an enjoyable fruity treat. I need to remember to intersperse things like this in with my other holiday treats for the next few weeks.

I'm baking a strawberry apple pie to take for lunch tomorrow, this afternoon. Hubby ran into town to pick up a few things and get the strawberries. I didn't buy them on Saturday when I shopped cause I wanted them to be fresh. Tonight I'll mix up the corn casserole & pop it in the oven in the morning. It's nice to be able to enjoy a big feast but only be responsible for a couple of the dishes.

I was thinking about how much it has helped me stay on track this past year & a bit by interacting on FS. I enjoy coming up with tasty, nutritious meals, cooking them, then sharing the photos 📷 Especially during the last few months where social interaction has often become virtual instead of in person. You may only get to "taste" what I've cooked with your eyes but it does seem to be satisfying in some way.

We're supposed to have a couple of warm days with a bit of rain then we're forecast some really chilly weather....nights in the 20's & days in the 40's. It will feel more seasonal but not the best time to do outdoor Christmas decorating. Luckily most of my decorating is done indoors these days. Hubby & I have been looking forward to a nice fire in the fireplace...I see that happening soon.

My daughter bought her plane tickets for December. She & my granddaughter are coming Dec. 16th thru the 21st. 😁 They will be here for our Family Christmas party on the 20th at our house this year.

Gonna go peel & slice some apples 🍎

Wishing everyone a safe & Happy Thanksgiving tomorrow 🧡💕 Enjoy & eat what you like...afterall calories don't count on the holiday 😉

I love seeing your beautiful meals. You and sk are my inspirations! I normally find cooking such a miserable chore after years of feeding an army of children. Inspiration is needed to help me move beyond just cooking volume and simple meals with leftovers so I don't have to cook again for the next day. 😁

I like when I have leftovers, so I don't have to start from scratch for a meal. I was never as creative before I retired. Basically, a piece of protein, rice or potatoes & a vegetable most nights. I've enjoyed creating meals that I find tasty and meet the requirements of my WOE, since I started this latest weight loss journey. When I started posting pics on here for fun, it inspired me to make them look pretty, too. I'm glad you enjoy. SK always has wonderful, tasty looking meals! He inspires me, too.
