It's been a tough year for a lot of us. My year has been no different.
Today, I'm supposed to be ending a stint on the road as a backup singer for a friend from college.
I had an amazing Halloween planned. I was going to spend my birthday in London.
So I'm not doing any of those things.
I have spent this year really working on my emotiona, spiritual, and physical health.
I've addressed some latent issues that I've been putting off for years.
I'm better than I have been in a really long time.
So I'm bitterly disappointed but it's going to be okay.

We went to Santa Monica's farmer's market this weekend. I discovered honeynut squash and white-pink pomegranates.
The honeynut looks like a smaller butternut but it's super sweet. I'm a little mad that I only got two.
The pomegranates might be a little sweeter and less tart than the red ones.
I love CA.

CA is the perfect city with access to lots of great produce for a vegan❣️ Time isn’t wasted, we’re just redirecting our attention. 💕💕💕

sorry to hear about the disappointment, Atriel. it definitely has been one of those years. but you are right, it is going to be okay and the only thing we can control is our attitude and how we handle (i know, that's a pretty common trope, but it is true) ... and will have to seek out honeynut squash, sounds delish.

Moopie: I am so in love with SoCal. I've loved everywhere that I've lived for different reasons but California is the first place that it felt okay to be me.

Br_e_co: my attitude has admittedly sucked lately. I've fallen into the sneaky hate spiral and that definitely impacted a good deal for me. But I'm working on acting like a well-grounded adult. :D Honeynut squash is amazing! I like it a lot more than butternut.

we can all do that once in a while - though sounds like you are on top of it!

Atriel 💕 thank you for keeping it real. This year sucks. Sounds like you found some mental course correction, though, to get out of the negative spiral. It’s hard to do on your own- proud of you!
