Hi melissatwa! I had to come looking for you again. I see you are chipping away at the weight. Are you still taking care of yourself and your knees?

Thank you, rebecca! Dear Tom! 😁 I am trying. Thanks! Less than half pound above "goal." I am hoping that isn't an indication of how much muscle is dissappearing every minute. The knee is still very limiting. I finally went to see a doc today. I got a prescription for anti-inflammatories, a referral to a sports med doc, and a suggestion to go to physical therapy. We will see what the pocketbook allows. Maybe even a single visit to physical therapy might help if I can get advice on what exercises and stretches to do. Hopeful!

Hopefully that will work for you. :)

Hi Melissa, Glad you got some anti-inflammatories! Most of the PT therapists I've seen are happy to release you to home therapy if you demonstrate that you can do them on your own and have been doing them at home as they instruct. Sometimes it's totally worth it because they teach how to strengthen all the tiny muscles that are underdeveloped or that get affected by the other muscles that are overused and overdeveloped. I wonder what they do during Covid19? Wonder if they have virtual visits? Probably not for everyone but seems they could demonstrate and watch you as well. When I had my last PT for costochondritis they told me to purchase a foam roller for pelvic tilts. Now that's a trick trying to lay on a hard roller! I digress...point being I purchased my own equipment. Hope you heal quickly! Let us know how it goes!

I just read below. Try to get exercises and stretches the first visit. I did that for my tennis elbow a few years ago and stayed faithful every day without extra visits 🤑🤑🤑 Any time it flares up, I know what to do. Hope it goes well for you friend. ❤️❤️

southernlace, thank you! I hope so! Bearnoggin, I have some good and not so good pt experiences, but I hope to get some help. I am just too frustrated being so limited. I know a lot depends on the work done at home. I am totally willing to make the effort, I just need to have a good direction!

Problem is, sk, I hate beer! Rotten, bitter stuff just isn't for me! 😁 How about cider... Will that work? 😁

Wifey, I am really confused by the conflicting treatments suggested for what I think is my problem. I just really hope to get some clear. Direction. I got an appointment with a sports med doc for next week, so maybe I will learn more there! Thanks for caring and your support!
