A 2-pound loss! I am kind of impressed! I think it may be because I did not eat as much keto/low-carb friendly sweets and treats -- as I had almost none available; if I don't buy them online, I have to make them myself and I didn't have the ingredients -- but also because I woke up late most mornings this week and I skipped a couple of times my usual scrambled eggs-cheese-bacon breakfast and had keto coffee with a Perfect Keto bar instead.

I know eating keto bars may be counterintuitive. Plus, the "keto police" found anywhere on various social media likes to say that they cause weight gain or hyperinsulinemia or whatever. However, I like the Perfect Keto bars (only Salted Caramel and Lemon Poppyseed though) despite them being made with stevia and these are the only bars I like. All the other keto bar brands out there are just plain yucky to me.

Good news about my blood pressure! Taking half-doses of my ARB has brought my BP back to normal (optimal to Canadian standards) levels. It's been only a week though. I have a bunch of my ARB left that I can cut in half by myself, because I need a doctor's appointment -- and a doctor's approval -- before changing my prescription at the pharmacy. And seeing a family doctor in my area has become complicated since Covid.

I also need to know whether I can stop taking iron supplementation, because since my fibroid procedure 3 months ago my period flow has decreased a lot. This needs a blood test and, in my area, this also requires a doctor's appointment just to get a requisition.

At least my health is a bit better! This is always good news. As for my BP, I know that it is supposed to increase after menopause, so if I can control it now with the lowest medication dose possible, it gives me more leeway when the dose needs to be increased later in life. I am only 44, so this gives me hope that I maybe won't be taking 3 or 4 different meds by age 50!

Sunny days yesterday, today, tomorrow and Monday! Temperatures are noticeably lower, with fall starting Tuesday. However, I prefer colder sunny days to warmer overcast days. I know I am strange (most people I know in real life or hear on TV prefer the reverse), but that's the way it is I guess!
