Two more pounds gone. And 2 more till 10% body weight gone. I'm feeling better and stronger. Who knew just 27 lbs would make such a difference? No one has really noticed yet (my best friend tells me) but since I have so much to lose, it's hard to tell. But I can tell, and that's what's important. The new pants I bought in June are getting too big. I'll have to ditch several pairs and get out the smaller ones soon. *Doing the happy dance.* It makes me excited to think about what I'll be wearing NEXT summer!! No, it won't be bikinis and short shorts, but I will be wearing a smaller size and looking better. And SHOPPING!!!......THAT will be fun again. I hate that all the clothes in my size that I see in the stores are browns and blacks. I am NOT a brown/black kind of person. I love jewel tones....rubies, emeralds, sapphires, amethysts!!! (I'm not into the jewels but the colors). I'm not a pastel kind of girl either. I'm not flashy, but I love bright colors. God didn't give us a black and white world. :) Dee

Nice! I love bright colors too and they're so hard to find for my size. :( And you're right, it's okay if no one else can tell the difference yet as long as you can. Have fun shopping. xD

Good for you, Deedles13! Doesn't it feel wonderful? I think when you have a lot to lose, like you and I did from the start, it takes until about the first 25 lbs. to really feel and see a difference. I also thought more people would notice and say something. My husband and parents have, and 1 or 2 people at work have now said something once I hit the 35 lb. loss point. I can't wait to see people I haven't seen in a while, like all my relatives at Christmas and by then I should be over 50 lbs. lost. That will be fun. I know what you mean about horrible clothes at our size. I find almost the opposite. In Lane Bryant, for example, I see so many wild clothes with crazy patterns that are more suitable for plus sized 20 yr olds going clubbing, but not for me - a working professional mom of 43. I've found the best items lately at Coldwater Creek and shop their online outlet and sales often. I'm not old and fuddy-duddy, but I'm also not a raving, 20-something kid either.

Thanks, K. Doesn't it feel great when someone notices??!! Tell us how things go when you see your family at Christmas. Bet they'll be thrilled! I'm cheap, K.....I usually buy at Kmart or Walmart, though I love Dress Barn and they're really expensive....$80 for a nice dress, $40 for shirts....I'm just too cheap...lol. But I'm sure I'll spend a little more money on myself when I'm looking nice. ;) I don't want to dress like a 20 year old, either, but I don't like looking like I'm 100 in browns and black shapeless things. I can look nice at 53, too. Take care!! Dee

Thanks, Lama. I see we have a lot in common. I love cats, too!! I have a tattoo of one on my ankle. And I'm learning German. It's a very easy language to learn. Take care and keep going!!
