I ate 2027 calories yesterday....over my allowed 1800 and the scales went down. The amt. allowed is actually an amount I set for myself....FS says I can maintain on a higher amt. but I'm not so sure I can. Making dinner I measured out 2 servings of pasta & there was a tiny amount left so I added it in & cooked it, too. I cooked a filet of salmon in the oven to mix in with the pasta & some asparagus. It was a substantial piece & I debated saving some for later, but decided to put it all in. If I had been in weight loss mode I probably would have cooked only the 2 servings of pasta and saved some salmon for another meal. It was quite tasty & Hubby & I both enjoyed it 😋
I had purchased a slice of red velvet cake for Hubby's Birthday but since we got dessert at the resteraunt we never had any. So last night we each had 1/4 of the slice. Dividing it that way puts dessert calories under 200.

We have booked 5 days away in September at an Historic hotel in Door County Wisconsin. Our friends (neighbors) told us about it. It's a really good deal & will make a nice get away.

I'm not sure why I ate more & my weight decreased. My activities yesterday included a walk & doing a little housework/ laundry. I didn't even do any gardening. Today, I ran into town....hit the library, checked out a new Meat shop that just opened (didn't buy anything today), hit the dollar store for scented oil for my reed diffusers, and the grocery store. Came home with some fresh tuna, a couple of small sirloin steaks, a small pork roast, spicy sausages, fruit & veggies. I still have a lot of chicken breasts & thighs from Costco in the freezer, bug you can't live on chicken alone 😀 I've been looking for a jalapeño dip my daughter bought while I was in Dallas with no luck. I found one today to try....jalapeño cheese dip. I tried some with some baby carrots & thought it was pretty good.

I also bought some more annuals on clearance. I found 2 potted Crossandras in a pretty peachy color. I've repotted 2 & have 2 more to go. I can't afford to buy all the flowers in the Spring I might like to have so I add some here & there in the Summer til it's time for Fall mums.

We're grilling a flat iron steak for dinner & I bought portobello mushrooms to go with it. Probably a tossed salad with them.

It's the first day recently there is absolutely no rain in the forcast. It's quite pleasant out, with a breeze. The birds have been active chirping away.
