We moved about 2 months ago, and I got a new job on April 9th. So needless to say, I haven't done anything (and I mean anything) to take care of my health. During the move, the cover for the batteries on our scale fell off, and the batteries were lost. So I haven't weighed myself for over two months. Feeling all fat and down on myself because I have been eating anything and everything, I told my husband I think I weigh 280lbs. After finding the scale and putting batteries in it last night, I reluctantly weighed myself, and to my surprise, I have lost 7lbs since March 13th. Since March 13th, I have been eating anything I want although I knew it was horrible for me. I have to give the credit for my weight loss to all the exercise I have been getting in our move and at my new job. Besides packing and unpacking for the move, I have had to paint just about every room in our new home, and I have been doing extensive planting of flowers and shrubs to get our new home feeling like our home. My new job has been very strenuous to say the least!! In addition to excessive walking, my job as a State Registered Nurses Aide requires me to use all my strength and muscles to lift, pull, and everything else needed to take excellent care of our residents. I have been encourage at the surprise, 7 lb weight loss, and I feel there is hope for me. If I start making better choices when I eat and continue to work hard at work, I may not lose tones of weight, but if I just don't gain anymore I won't be satisfied but at least I won't be depressed! : )
