Well that is a blinking relief! ONE pound gone after 18 days of nada! I've got to thank Paula and my friends here, otherwise I think I would have gone AWOL. I knew I was losing fat because folding my arms feels different, it's now much more comfortable. Clothing also feels they fit much better, they now feel like comfortable slippers and not like straight jackets. Over the past week I've upped both my fats and protein, aiming for 60-70% fat and about 110-120 protein, this of course has upped my calories another 200 or so. It's like a game in the morning, trying to set my food for the day, putting a little of this in food, reducing the amount of that food, to try to get below the 20 total grams. Upping calories to lose weight flies completely against what I've been conditioned to understand and it is so nice to re learn and re programme my brain. Both my hubby and I are struggling to eat everything! It is going to take a while, but not to worry this is a wol now and there is no going back. To put things in context, if I hadn't been on this woe, then I would have probably continued 'growing' so in effect, I've probably saved my body from having to cope with another 3lb of body fat. Everyone have a great weekend - I know will!

What an inspiration! Its so awesome that you had the willpower to keep at it even though the scale wasn't showing any weight loss. We all know that it isn't necessarily about what the scale says, but it sure helps to have something that actually proves you're losing weight. I've been struggling with upping my calories and protein intake myself. I'll have to check out your food diary for some hints. ;)

YAHOO!!!!! Another one gone for good. Way to go. I bet though, when the scale wasn't moving, you were losing inches. Sometimes when you change things up a bit, it will confuse the body and it will get moving again. My opinion of course, but that is what happens with me. Your doing great.:)
