I am alive!! I am so sorry for going into hibernation. At first, I lost motivation and crap, then I had trouble logging in. I've noticed I have trouble with motivation and bored eating. I start to lose motivation when I think things like, "This isn't going to change anything so why bother?" and more. The simple solution is to not think like that, so that's what I'm trying to do. With bored eating though, it's like my brain goes in auto-pilot mode and I don't think. I kinda just wander around the kitchen, trying to find things that I could eat. It's kinda weird. Does anyone have any tips for that? Anyways, apologies for disappearing. I'm still here and I'm still fighting.

I quit purchasing the foods that would cause me to snack. Now its apples or other fruits. I live alone, so that's easy, if there were children here that would be impossible. Peanutbutter is my weakness. I'll walk down the grocery aisle and drool. But won't always buy it. If I do purchase, after eating 1/3 of jar, I'll throw it in trash. In dirty filthy trash w lid off so I dont go and shamefully snatch it back.

Beauxpurdy I agree... I’m the type that opens a package of something and eats the entire thing within the hour because I’m absent mindedly munching. Best to just buy a single serving of whatever your craving, then it’s gone!

(Beauxpurdy) Unfortunately, I live with my father who is a picky eater and only really lets us eat very limited types of food. (Potatoes, corn, macaroni, some form of meat...) and I'm not risking getting him upset for some carrots.

Maybe chew on a non-sugar gum or something. Whenever my mouth is bored but I'm not hungry, chewing gum helps:)

I have found the single serving snacks and apples to be key. And keeping the kiddo's and hubby's open bags of chips OFF the counter. I found them a spot out of my initial line of sight. And I allow myself plain yougurt or an apple even if I'm over my calories and if I really don't want that, I'm not really hungry!
