😊Im reading the Obesity code and am really enjoying it. Life and insulin resistance is all making sense, like a puzzle clicking into place.Im going to meditate now and get rid of any lingering cortisol. Saying goodbye to diet coke and continuing to fine-tune my eating patterns with IF and keto.

I am glad you are getting a lot out of the Obesity Code. I just looked up 'cortisol' as I didn't know what it was. I had no idea that cortisol was a stress hormone causing weight gain. One more reason to lower one's stress, eh? I see why meditation would be a useful tool in lowering cortisol. Good job eliminating diet coke - it really contains a lot of yick that no one needs in their body.

The eliminating diet coke is going to be harder than I thought, kind of like your cheese and crackers. I really wanted one yesterday afternoon but knowing how they spike insulin I went for the water. This afternoon I may venture into the teas- green tea with fresh ginger. Have a great day!

I know exactly what you mean. We have set ourselves up to expect the crackers (or diet coke) that seemed pretty insignificant. Then when I skip it I can feel the habit working on me causing me to constantly turn in the direction of where the crackers are kept and feeling 'hungry' for them. Two days of no crackers! And no replacement food in that spot either. Good luck with the tea plan.
