It's probably nothing I know personally one day I gain few ounces then the next day I dropped entire pound. Our bodies retain waters and waste and can make the scale vary in few ounces.

Thank you! It's just so hard to see the scale go up especially after such a significant loss one week then only 1 lb the next. But I'm not giving up, I cant. My little man will be walking soon and I need to be able to chase him around without being winded. Lol

water weight fluctuation is extremely normal, I fluctuate a pound or two just on water weight on a daily basis

Awe I understand, I get discouraged as well when i see the scale go up a little even i don't want to log it, but I do and I'm glad so because I can see healthy pattern of having few ounces up and down. I have a rambunctious one myself who I chase around and that also get me good exercise. :)

My weight is about the same is yours, and I too am having problems losing a little then gaining a little back. Don't know what I am doing wrong. Am recording every morsel I eat, supposed to eat about 1336 calories a day, have been eating between 650 and 1,000 for the past 8 days and have only lost about a pound and am up again today. It is not water retention in my case. Am not giving up, I know calories in vs calories out has to work eventually. Stick with it

Keep up the good work ladies and don’t be discouraged by the scale— whether or not you shed weight you also have to keep in mind that you’re shedding inches in other places!!! 💪🏾 Some tips that are helping me: Be sure to walk at least 3 to 4x a day for at least 15/20 mins, Eats 3 Small well portioned meals and 3 snacks in between, drink lots of water and stay away from carbonated drinks and food/drink high in sugar + saturated fat. And remember YOU GOT THIS 💕🙌🏽

Oh and also - keep a journal of how many times you go to the bathroom. We should be doing #1 at least 3x a day and #2 at least 1x a day —-

I reviewed your food journal and my initial thought was that your daily carb intake is way too high to achieve weight loss. Carbs make your body secrete insulin, which makes the body store fat. So if you're eating carbs, you're not using fat as fuel, only glucose. Another way to switch to fat burning mode is by fasting (it's why we lose weight when we sleep) I don't know anything about your personal health history, so I can't suggest you drastically change your diet or fast without knowing more about you. That could be unsafe. I will make a reading recommendation though. Why We Get Fat, by Gary Taubes changed my outlook on diet and nutrition forever.

Thank you all for the input, I know my carbs are high but honestly I like my carbs. I didnt mention I am also breastfeeding currently so I have to eat a little more. And unfortunately that's why I can't do IF yet, my supply dropped when I tried it. I have 4 kids (12, 13, 15 and 10 months) so making breakfast and lunch is very difficult most days. But I'm trying to do better as my little is eating more. But the counting worked for me before and it will again. Just takes time...oh and I dont drink anything mut water and coffee (little sugar). I know we can all do it!!! Just keep up the good work and dont give up.

You can do it. Remember if you go too low, your body may go into survival mode by storing everything. I'm not sure what the recommendations are for breastfeeding but eating a little more might help.

I acheieved weight loss with plenty of carbs but, if restricting carbs in particular helps people that’s great. Different people are different with what works to get to a caloric deficit. 🍞

I am breastfeeding also, just curious what your RDI for calories are here? I have been juggling mine between 1900-2000 daily, I always wonder however what is best for nursing mom's.

I think with breastfeeding your supposed to eat 300 to 500 extra calories more than your suggested rdi. Mine is 2000so I'm guessing 2300 to 2500 but I dont do that I keep mine btw 1500 and 1700. I just cant consume that much and feel ok. I couldnt give up carbs though, I'd quit within the first day. But I know I need to watch them better just hard when your eating on the go a lot lol. I'm just taking it day by day and trying to eat more protein and I do try and trick my metabolism by eating more one day and less another. Dont want to go into starvation mode.
