Diea's Journal, 02 Sep 19

This past month, I started to work out again... in earnest. 30-45 minutes of pilates and at-home, body-weight exercises. I focus on the glutes, but I also do planks, push ups, and various core movements to get my body strong again. I'm following a glute challenge along with thousands of people. That invisible "audience" on social media has helped me stay accountable. It's 30 days of exercises that I follow on youtube. Each day is a different exercise with 100 reps on each side, and each day has a cool vid to follow. I'm slowly getting back into it. I'm not doing it every day, but I have increased my work outs substantially. I'm talking about 2-5 times a week after months of 0-1 times a week. Huge difference, guys. That makes me very proud. It had been so hard to get back on the fitness wagon, so things are good!

Today, I am finishing an extended fast and starting the Whole30 plan. It's an elimination plan to reduce and eliminate inflammation through whole foods. I'll delay sugar, carbs, alcohol, etc. for 30 days and see how my body feels when I begin to slowly add things back in. I was gifted a health journal in xmas, and I plan on using this to log my Whole30 journey. Have you done this plan yet? If you have any tips, please comment!!

Building muscle and sounds like low carb is always a plus in my book. I only eat veggies no corn. And protein and premier shakes and have dropped a lot of weight and have never felt better as far as inflammation goes. I do water cross fit twice a week and walk 40 min every day! Good luck❤️🧜🏽‍♀️

I also have 2-3 strawberries if I want something sweet with some cheese to balance the sugar. I am never hungry.🥰👙🧜🏽‍♀️

Doing Cassie’s workout huh? I love her stuff, just follow the calendar and not have to think too hard or go to the gym. All at home with no equipment.

Hey fairy1965! Thanks for the support. It sounds like you found your sweet spot! I've tried many diets, and I'm hoping this elimination plan helps me figure out how to eat correctly for my body. It sounds like you are doing a vegetarian plan. No animal products for you?

GamerKat!!! Yes! I'm trying to do Cassie's glute challenge. I got a bit sick the last couple of days, and I've needed rest days, so I'm behind. But, I'm definitely hanging in there and committed to getting this challenge done. And I love Cassie and blogilates. She's been "my personal trainer" now for 5 years. It's been awesome working out with her on YouTube again after my hiatus. Thank you for connecting, fellow pop star!

babayjo, thanks for the support! I'm glad to hear elimination diets work and you do find your triggers. I'm hoping to find mine, but I low-key fear that my triggers might be foods I love love love. Pushing past the fear, though, and hoping to design the best personal diet for myself. Thank you for letting me know that these work!
