If you are going for a major change in your life, you will want to change those beliefs that kept you from having it in the past. - Annonymous

Get up today and pretend you are the captain of your ship, and that for one day you will guide this ship the way you want to. You will take the time you need, be with the people you want to be with, say "no" when you want to say "no" and "yes" when you want to say "yes". You will check in from hour to hour to see if you are feeling joy or peace or whatever you have determined you want to feel.

Life change and transition are often preceded by confusion, by a sense of loss or pain,, or by a sense things are falling apart. If you focus on what you want, if you acknowledge what you have is a creation of the past that can be easily changed, your future can look any way you choose. TOWANDA!!!

My voyage thus far:

Sometime this week on a morning news program I heard a woman in my background as I was preparing for the day say, "Breathe", .......
Okay, I primarily quit smoking by deep breathing and I understood the power of breathing somewhat. Blending a can of Health Request Chicken Noodle soup, warming it up, sipping it from a mug, I enjoyed the comfort level it brought to my hungry tummy this afternoon. Soon, the dog started barking, the pest control man made his way around my house and things just got a bit out of control. Once the dogs settled down, I was feeling quite tired but instead of taking a nap I decided to enjoy a warm bath. Scented bath salt, soothing bath water, I began to relax. The advice I heard the other day was not necessily that I needed to control my breathing or do anything with it but to just observe. As I observed the clearer my mind was becoming and the nervous energy dissapated and I was becoming increasingly more relaxed. I noticed my breathing reminded me of the ocean...one breath after the next were like ocean tides rolling in, rolling out. I then began to control the crashing of my breath into more subtle soothing, calmer waves, listening as my breath ebbed and flowed. I am calm, at peace and my energy feels renewed and I am ready for the rest of what is going to be a most wonderful day. When life seems out of control or my energy level is zapped, I will practice the art of paying attention to my breath. TOWANDA!!!

Wow, food for thought that journal was. Very, very interesting. This is exactly what I need to learn to do. And thank you for that beautiful item you put in my journal about my cat. He seems a bit better tonight and is eating. He scared me pretty bad last night. Never saw him do this. He was crying. Lovely journal today Lisa and like the others have said....TOWANDA.
