Diea's Journal, 13 Jul 19

My focus recently has been on reducing stress through yoga, meditation, and mindfulness. I haven't been doing too much fitness, and I have continued with my intermittent fasting lifestyle.

I'm focusing on taking it easy because of work, or actually because of two work-related reasons. One is: my schedule just changed from a regular 9-5, M-F. I'm starting a 4/10 schedule where I work 10 hour days M-Th. I started waking up earlier, and am allowing my body to adjust to the longer days. I'm out of the house 12 hours a day, if you include my commute time. I hope that I get over this hurdle soon and enjoy the 3-day weekends. The other reason is that I was a victim of a workplace assault by a supervisor in my department. My direct supervisor has been very supportive in this challenging time, but the assault definitely left me frazzled and easily scared.

Anyway, the point is that I'm taking a break from fitness and can tell that my upper body is retaining (or gaining more) body fat. I'm not sure what to expect with these monthly numbers, but I'm trying to be prepared by not putting too much power in the scale. I'm weighing myself as part of my monthly weigh in and that's it. The number shouldn't affect my socio-emotional status, but this is a process so if it does happen, I don't want to guilt myself about it.

Sigh!

So...

So to my monthly weigh in:

Last month:
June 2019
Weight 150 lbs
Body Fat 38%

This month:
July 2019
Weight 156.5 lbs
Body Fat 41%

Yeah, now to practice dispassionate self-assessment. Wish me luck!
70.8 kg Lost so far: 32.2 kg.    Still to go: 13.2 kg.    Diet followed: Reasonably Well.
Gaining 0.6 kg a Week
