I forgot to update my weight last time I was on here, but I also lost a bit more since then as well. I'm so proud that i broke through the 180s it was a big deal-- it took a long time to get through as soon as I was at 185 it was up and down for almost 2 to 3 weeks; I had to really buckle down and look at actual nutrition info boxes and research online before I ate anything. Then I lowered my calorie intake to about 1250 and I also started to exercise about twice a day: strength and cardio. I am telling you once I did that it took only about 5 days to come back down and break out of the 180s. I fell off the wagon just two days ago and again yesterday because of a slight injury I got three days ago while dancing lol-- but when I looked at the scale again and realized how far I had come, last night I went to work. I knew there were some exercises I couldnt do with my injury, so I worked with it and did all that I could do to get my normal routine back on track and today I feel better for it! I'm also glad that exercise has become a solace for me. I was gone from here for a while because mentally I was depressed not just about being overweight but about being unemployed. I have never had to ask others for money to simply exist especially without a timeline on when I'd be able to pay them back. I honestly felt so useless and so low, I've never gone more than 5 months without a job (and that was usually due to classes) and now it's been nearly 8 months almost nine. I felt pathetic and hopeless but I have been able to feel better by exercising and getting my head out of those thoughts by putting it into the exercise. The exercise has given me so much, time to get away from those thoughts, the ability to increase my willpower and a respect in myself and my body and what I can do. In many ways I am thankful for this time, because I am able to reflect and to just focus on bettering myself. I am able to look at this as a blessing and an intermittent period that will prepare me for a better future.
