DBakerrian's Journal, 31 Mar 19

Yesterday we went and packed meals for food pantries and food insecure children/families for an hour and a half. Third year I've done it, but this year my birthday wish was to have my grown daughters and one granddaughter to join me and my husband. I wanted them to see one way Nana helps people. It was awesome! They play loud, lively music to keep us dancing & moving while we packed food down your table's assembly line. So much fun!

After our "shift", we went to Olive Garden and I only ate half of my Shrimp Scampi. I had soup too, but was full, and stopped eating. That's a new one for me. Because it was my birthday, I had birthday cake, too, but not much. With all this and my other meals, I still didn't blow my diet! Scale says I lost a pound!

Tomorrow I start my "Carb-Controlled" diet for Metabolic Renewal. I'm excited about that and being pro-active about my health. I'm feeling better already and only been watching carbs for four days. I know this will be the rest of my life now.
