Hedder52's Journal, 23 May 08

I don't even know where to start...it has been awhile since I was last on here and I feel pretty good about things, but my weight has gone up...not sure if it is because I am lifting weights or what, but what ever. I am still feeling great about things. Eating is going good like usual, I think that I will try to get back on 100% next week and get the ball rolling again and lose these last measly pounds! I guess I am just not too motivated right now and that is what is keeping me down, but then on the other hand I have been going to the gym 3x's a week, playing ball 3 nights a week and then also on the weekends, I would say that is motivation, but I guess because of the scale I don't see it. Oh well, I am still very please with how far I have come and what I have accomplished and I am very proud of that. We had a tornado hit a town just East of us yesterday and it is devastating...my dad and his wife live there and I have several friends that do also, no one was hurt, but 2 of my friends lost their houses...so it has been a mind blowing roller coaster the past day...I just thank God that everyone is ok physically...now on to the rebuilding and doing what we can do! Please keep them all in your thoughts and prayers as right now they need it.

Hope you all have a wonderful 3 day weekend! Be safe!!!

Lifting weights can cause a gain. The muscles get little tears in them, and they retain water to repair themselves (hence a weight gain). It is temporary. Just keep working out. You will get smaller and smaller. Great job!

So glad to see your comments on my journal today! It's hard to catch up when you're not on the same plan. I still think you're doing awesome...you really did make a lifestyle change, otherwise, the weight would've started creeping back up to where it was. Fantastic! All that exercise you get certainly helps too. I'll pray for your friends, I know all too well how devastating one of those natural disasters can be.

Suzi is right...if you're lifting, you will show a slight gain. But just think how lean and mean you're going to be!! Keep it up girl!!
