Started PT this week; was told that running might be bad for me, and that I won't be able to do much in the way of exercise until we're finished. This isn't very exciting for my fitness and weight loss goals. Here's hoping I improve quickly.

If you don't mind me asking...what is the injury? PT meaning physical therapy or personal training?

Physical therapy. For my knees and lower back. It's partly an ongoing injury from several years, but is mostly addressing the damage done to it while I was pregnant from ligament stretching and a lack of excercise while I was pregnant (I had my daughter four months ago). My knees are unstable and prone to give out or dislocate, a problem that I had managed pre-pregnancy through lots of pilates and muscle building, but which has returned in the last year.
