i have a question friends, hopefully y'all can help me out....when you get those reminders that to lose 1/2 kg you are supposed to consume 500 cals less in a day...what number are they basing it on? like do i look at the calories up at the top where it says "cals consumed" & eat 500 less than THAT or is the 500 ALREADY minused and I just consume that amount?? gee, i hope that was clear...thanks, friends😊

Normal women calorie intake is around 1500 to 2000 calories. So you have to deduce 500 cal from your usual intake. It might be more than these numbers or around it. But never drop less than 700 calorie intake per day, first your body will enter into starvation mode and not loose weight, second its not healthy and when the body starts to finally loose weight, it will be from fat at first then muscles;which is very bad.

Please let me add, listen to your body, sometimes you need more calories per day, sometimes less and for effective weight loss, cut from your usual portion size. It worked for me.

Thanks Bianca! Calorie counting SEEMS easy enough but there are so many extra variables sometimes. Just wondering then, do I take that amount of calories off of the number shown at the top of my diary or just 500 cals less than 2000?

Vickie the number shown at the top of your diary is given to you by the features you put in your profile. Honestly i dont know what your number is. All the matters is to never go less than 700 calories. So i fluctuate between 700 and 1100 cal per day, and i am always full since i have a protein based diet. So if you are still hungry you can up-it to 1500 cal no problem. Which leads us back to the 2000 cal -500 😉
