So after 4 months of dieting I finally learned something. Let me start by telling you how obsessed with the scale i was. If I didn’t lose 2 pounds a week it would be the end of the world. Once I discovered that the body type that i wanted took strength training, I learned that I wouldn’t be able to rely on the scale anymore because i could lose a pound of fat and gain a pound of muscle, but stay the same weight. Now i know that the scale really doesn’t matter if you are trying to get lean. You need to take measurements or compare pictures to see results . Just trust the process of being in a calorie deficit while working out and you’ll succeed

Good for you! I still use the scale but I don't freak out about it, sometimes I just choose to ignore it. My weight does steadily go down, but it also blips up, either for a reason that I know, or a reason I don't. Doesn't matter. I'm happy to stay the same as well. But if I abandon it, I am more likely to gain and gain and gain without knowing. . .until what do you know? Here I am up 80 pounds. So I like to at least keep an eye on it!I use jean size as my "measuring". I started at size 22, I am now size 14. Hoping to get to size 12, and then never above that again!
