Yesterday, was a big challenge for me.
I had a 3 day plateau where I was stuck on a number of 297.5 on my scale.
Now my complete downfall is eating out. Even worse is eating when traveling. So, I decided to take my beautiful wife to lunch.
Our original plans were dinner at Fleming's Steakhouse. Love that place, but Fleming's is a guaranteed 1800 plus calories. I wasn't interested in that kind of calorie consumption. So, Famous Dave's BBQ was our choice...and I have been craving ribs for a week.
Now, being an ex-athlete and a large man with an equally large appetite, this restaurant is a potential recipe for disaster. But here is the truth...I will need to relearn how to eat when I dine out and create a new culture of respecting my body instead of mass consumption, justifying the overeating at every opportunity.
Here's what I ate...6 BBQ ribs, 3oz of lean beef brisket, 3 french fries, 1 individual portion of baked beans, 2 bites of a corn muffin, 1 large beer.
I was full, but I was never disgustingly full. this was at 11:30am

At 6:30pm, I ate a salad, with just splash of vinegar, 1 BBQ rib, 1/2 chicken breast, no skin.
Felt fantastic!

I woke up this morning at 296.9...a .6 loss so I will call this a win!
