Dr put me on buspar and Wellbutrin..Both generic brands. I'm concerned about weight gain. I been working hard since 2015. Tonight I went to Burger King for dinner. My fiance got his meal and my daughter. I was really good! I got a grilled chicken salad! I'm getting better and better choosing foods while the temptations are right in front of me. Now I'm hopeful that these meds don't mess with my weight. There are a small percentage that do gain weight, I'm really really hoping I'm not that small percent!

It's actually a pretty high percentage that gain weight when these meds lower their feeling of having eaten enough. If you want real info on adverse effects, go to a private pharmacy (not big chain store). Pharmacists almost always have better understanding of meds impact than drs do, and they take patients' experiences seriously. --- Generics often worse than brands in weight-gain respect. Tracking everything you eat will be really helpful. Hope the meds' positive effects kick in soon!

I been reading up on consumer reviews for Wellbutrin(bupropion). Most don't gain weight, however a small percentage do from what I have been reading. My Dr even Said it's less likely to gain. I'm still worried tho because lexapro I took few years back blew me up even with diet and exercise. I am learning more about generics. I never really thought anything about them. there are diff companies and some are worse than others.they use different fillers. I'm trying figure out who made mine. I got them from Walmart pharmacy. There is a private pharmacy I like that I use when I don't have insurance because they have cheapest prices in town..If there are continuing issues I will request and see if insurance will cover name brand. And you are right I should start tracking my food intake again. Buspar working great to help me relax and sleep at night. I'm more concerned with bupropion. I don't want all my hard work get destroyed. Thank you for your support and information :)

I was really hoping I could do the Wellbutrin. Maybe it's the brand or the type of it. I'm thinking about seeing if I can take a diff type of it. Or if insurance will cover name brand. I been having stomach bloating and pain especially when I eat.
