It's a bit late in the day, but here I am for my daily journal entry. I got my blood test results, and they're not as good as I had hoped. I guess I'm going to have to give up the feta cheese. It's the only real change I've made since my last blood work which was pretty good. The only things that looked better were my HDL cholesterol (59) and my vitamin D is now in the normal range. All my other lipids, glucose levels and anemia were worse. What in tarnation does a girl have to do to get healthy around here???!

So sorry to hear that things didn't turn out as good as you would have hoped. I am sure by the time you are done with your challenge things will have improved drastically.

Bren, I'm pretty sure it's the feta cheese. I've been going crazy for it the last few months. Prior to that, I wasn't eating cheese and very little in the way of animal products. I've even switched from skim milk to almond milk. I probably won't be having another blood draw for six months, so we'll see what more weight lost and cutting the feta does. Oh my, how I'm going to miss it! Hugs back!

At least with this tool you can look back to what you have eaten, or not eaten. Not to everyone's taste but a good source for lack of iron is liver and although you have probably heard it, I would avoid any kind of artificial sweetener in your diet as I think it just plays havoc with your natural body workings.
