Johanne's Journal, 30 Oct 15

My final day of "fast mimicking". The week hasn't been nearly as bad as I expected. I really haven't been hungry and haven't had any cravings. We'll see what happens when I go back to my normal WOE. I'm hoping the cravings stay gone. I have to try this for at least three months to see if I have any of the health improvements listed. The biggest problem is the shortbread I have to make today for tomorrow's party! LOL!

MMM shortbread, homemade those are good. Watching the game. I think they want to bring the series win home.

1cup butter, 1/2 cup raw sugar, 1tsp lemon flavor (or any other flavor you like . . . or none), 2 1/2 c. all purpose flour ( I use Namaste gluten free). I love shortbread. I'm watching too. I sure wish we were doing better!

I'm sitting here painting a huge, diamond dust spider web all over the front of an orange shirt. I've already painted another large, black widow to pin on it. I'm wearing my teepee hat with the shirt to the Halloween party tomorrow. I'm going as an autumn garden. LOL!

I must have missed what "fast mimicking" is. You sound great!

Sandy, for 5 consecutive days, once a month, you eat 1,000 cals the first day and 725 for the next four days. You try to keep your nutrients balanced, eat mostly plant based foods and keep your fluid intake up. For the rest of the month you do your normal WOE. It is supposed to cut lipids, inflammation, increase neurons in the brain, increase immunity, etc., etc., etc. In other words, make you healthier and slow down aging. Several Universities and medical programs are studying it and seeing consistent, good results. If your WOE is geared towards weight loss the rest of the month, the program may help with weight loss as well. I'm trying it for at least three months to see if I see health benefits and, hopefully, a few shed pounds.

I see. It's just another variation of the Intermittent Fasting (IF). It sounds doable. I can't wait to see how your results are. A lot of times there is no change in weight but you have made vast improvements inside your body and that is most important. Good luck, kiddo!!

That's exactly what it is. I guess they are just trying to fine tune it. I'm playing guinea pig. LOL!

Well, that's okay.... of it is making you a healthy little guinea pig ... go for it. ;o)
