First day back at work after 5 weeks of with my foot.
Went back to the hospital yesterday and got released by them. Nothing more they can do. It has healed very well but it will take about another 3 month till the swelling/pain is completly gone :(
Not that I am a keen runner, but to be told to be patient brings out the rebel in me.
But at least I can wean myself of wearing the surgigal boot. My knee and my lower back are very happy about that!!!

Has anybody been to Hendersons in Edinburgh?
It is one of the oldest vegiterian restaurants in the country and they have only recently opened a vegan restaurant. We went there for my daughters birthday and I can honestly say that it was the most amazing food I have ever eaten!! It was sheer pleasure and flavour sensation.
And we discovered another little place. Nova. They do vegan pizzas. Pesto and potatoe was delicious.
Dairy free is the way for me for sure.
Last saturday I made an applecake for the family and served it with icecream.
The look on their faces when I told them both foods were vegan. Hehe. Chia seeds and banana are ideal to replace egg, I got a dairy free spread and the ice cream was swedish glace. Yumyum.
Don't think I am ready yet to give up meat and fish yet. As long as they don't upset my digestive system and its good organic meat. But I can see myself go all the way in the future.

Foot problems can throw a person - I hope you get complete healing soon. On another note, I have a cousin living in Edinburgh who is vegetarian - I'll share the info with her. Maybe someday I'll get back there to visit. Had a lovely vacation in Scotland 4 years ago.
