Ate an extraordinary amount the last 5 days and ruined my progress for the whole month. Can't even remember most of what I ate so I just had to put pretend shit on my intake to equal what I probably consumed, but who knows. I was 8 pounds down and back in my size 12's- which were snug but I didn't have to lay on the bed to button them. ;) Also hurt my knee probably 8 months or so ago and when it was finally feeling 100% better, I thought I should probably see if I could run... and then I fucked it up again- so that was stupid. I am not a runner but I would like to be able to run whenever I want to. Run from a dog attack, run to the car in the rain, run from a bad guy, just run to run. I don't like not being able to do things. So now I can't even walk well the last couple days. Did a lot of yardwork on Saturday but I wore my yardwork shoes which are not good for my knee but in the moment I didn't think much of it while we were getting stuff done. I was definitely feeling it that night and yesterday. Hoping to get the weight off and next time let it be better for more than 2 days before I take off running down the road. Vacation is starting Friday and it is kind of a vacation/staycation. 2 weekend trips and then through the week Looking super forward to just not being at work and to cleaning out the basement. That's all I have to say about that. Heading to the gym to put some of these excess calories to work.

Good morning DP! 🌞. Sorry about your knee 😒. Take care of it. Maybe next time just pretend it’s raining and run to your car, then stop running. Seriously, knee issues are bad for your mental health; I know.

Take it easy on that knee, hun! I hope it feels better soon! ...and you know your way, hoping you smash it at the gym! Good luck in all endeavors! 🙂

DP, Shit happens.. take it one day at a time and one good day turns into 2, then 3 etc. Make your goal to fit back into those pants! It's frustrating when our bodies don't cooperate with what we want to do...I know that first hand! I wear soft braces on both knees and now have to wear an elbow brace to help with " tennis" elbow. They do help so something to consider.. I hope your knee gets better soon!🩷💪

Setbacks hurt. Learning from and over coming the setback is what will make you a winner. Forgive the past and focus on a positive future.

In regards to running/knee problems, switching to the balls of my feet helped a LOT. It takes a while to build up the calf muscles to handle it, but it's a way more pleasant experience without the heal striking. Try walking around without letting your heals touch from time to time. It'll become second nature eventually. Hope you feel better soon!

I can totally sympathize with the eating and not knowing exactly what you ate. I get like that alot especially when I pick on this and that trying to satisfy a craving. Sorry to hear about your knee, I can also relate. I have bad knees from over use when I was younger and genetics. I end up with ice, a brace, and popping some pills occassionally because of my knee pain. I hope it gets better soon. I gave up on the running. I just want to be able to walk quickly away from a bear, bad guy, explosion, etc... now.

I totally feel that. That week before my cycle is a constant struggle not to eat everything I see. I don't always succeed and then I feel guilty. Just do your best and keep up the good work.

Sorry your summer has been s#!t. I know how you feel about the lack of being able to move without pain. My hip still hurts and I haven't been able to do my daily walks. I swear when I fell in February and gave myself a concussion, I must have buggered up my hip as well. I've already got back issues from falling down stairs, so it wouldn't surprise me to add hip damage too. I hope your trip to the gym was at least a bit of a help on the brain. Knee damage is nothing to sneeze at (stupid saying, but I'm old and it's all I could think of). Hubby's had surgery on both from being a runner & skier in his younger years. Take care hun. Big Hugs.

My summer hasn't been shit. I am very blessed. I now have an excuse to not do legs too hard at the gym... LOL. Thanks for the support, everyone.

oh girl... rotten knees are the worst. Mine forced me to give up running and I hate it so much. I hope your week goes well as you settle back into normal and more comfortably into those 12s. ❤️👍❤️

Try a small knee pillow at night. Will help with healing faster since it relieves stress when sleeping. It’s one of those simple things I forget to do and it really can help. Mine is full of buckwheat and I can heat it or chill it.

UGH. Knee injuries are the worst. And your reasons to run are spot on 😊

I'm sure a lot of the regain is water weight and it will come right back off. I can relate to your food tracking, I use loseit but I actually saved a "food" that just says "junk" and has a calorie amount so that I can estimate. LOL Hope your knee feels better soon!

Oh man. You joined the bad knee club. I thought I did last week…until my shingles manifested their ugly face. All my pain was nerve pain prior to the shingles outbreak. Deadly. So…..if you get a rash on your leg….get the drugs….FAST! Just don’t run to get them, til you can. Call instead. 🤪🤪🤪

Hello, I’m a living yo-yo 🪀 now. I go up and down. 👋

I see the benefits of running, but most of my older friends who have been runners do have knee replacement surgery. I did run in my 20’s but I quit a couple years after starting. I’m 58 and do not have any knee problems.
