Last night after work I did:
Juice & Toya - 30 Minute Full Body Dumbbell Workout [Strength Training]

This might be my first workout for the year, which is bonkers, but better late than never. It felt good and of course I modified as needed with 5kg dumbbells. Used just one in some cases; alternated on other moves when they used two weights - and used both for leg work. I'll take it easy for now. Great that it had a warm up and cool down stretch included and I appreciate that they mentioned and showed at the end that they use much heavier weights usually - and to keep increasing to get stronger.

Toya has my ideal physique, but I know that her eating and training are on point so I'll just keep striving to do the best I can. Comparing ourselves to others does no-one any good. It's great to have amazing role models, but you just need to keep competing with yourself and improving yourself from day-to-day, week-to-week, etc. imho.

Thank you to Petra, Cheesegobbler, Anne, Wifey, Paula and so many others for inspiring me to get back to it! The longer and warmer days do help tremendously too.

This week I'm a kilogram heavier than last week, but I'm choosing not to track it here. Have put it on Google Fit and Renpho (although I don't have the scale, just use it for some manual stats). I'm planning to be back at 65kg by next Friday so will track it then whether I manage it or not. I've increased calories to 2000 a day so will see if that is my maintenance level and adjust from there.

Hope you've all had a great week and Happy Friday! Have a lovely weekend too everyone! xxx

Hi Nikina. I really admire anyone with enough discipline to keep exercising at home for so long like you’ve been doing. I have been there and It’s not easy to keep the motivation going forever. Although the weight might not be shifting as quickly as you wish, I am sure there are several other ways to measure your progress and your journey so far. Keep going. Give a break to the scales and a chance to the mirrors/comparison pics instead 😊

Thank you Fibroloki, I'm not really starting a regime, just getting back to something I've enjoyed for years. All the best on your journey too!

Thank you for your kind words, Paula! I admire your hard work and discipline so much too! I hear what you're saying and I've taken some progress pics and have a few NSV's with smaller sized clothing fitting now as well and I do realise that at this stage the number on the scale is not that important. I am very happy, however, to have finally lost the last 5-6 kgs I've been struggling with for a couple of years and I'm hoping to master maintenance once and for all this time and I will keep going indeed! Hope you're having a fabulous Friday! xxx

Thanks Chess! Hope the weather is/was nicer where you are for your walk today - it's grey and wet here and I have to walk to work soon. Nothing a good brollie and rain coat will stop though. xxx
