Moopie, what I'm finding hard is getting enough protein while keeping my calories at the level I want.

SherryeB I was ostopenia before I started strength training. When I was going thru cancer treatments for Stage 3 afterwards they put me on a bone med that there had been some studies showing it helps prevent recurrence for the type of cancer I have to keep the cancer from mets to the bones. I could only be on that 5 years so I actually got to go off it before becasue my doctor said I had reversed my ostopenia. He attributed to my weight lifting at the gym. He also said that I did not have to take calcium tablets anymore as long as I kept lifting. Strength training is so good for our bodies. The proof is in the results from my tests and I am a 8 years out from when I was diagnosed and on no meds and my doctors have said to keep doing what I am doing! Love the protein shake recipes!
