I’ve been totally off my diet regime since I had COVID in December. It happened before the omicron variant was recognized. I had been vaccinated and boosted. I had been so careful. I attended a memorial service for a beloved, young friend who had just died of COVID. He had NOT been vaccinated. The memorial was well attended. At least 50% of the people there were NOT masked and I would bet, many of those were also not vaccinated. That was a Friday. The following Wednesday, I came down with a bad “cold” and a vicious cough. That Friday I was diagnosed with COVID. I had the antibodies administered and that helped relieve the symptoms. I was quarantined through the holidays.

I was so discouraged and depressed. I had done everything right except for attending my friends memorial. I simply went off the rails. Tomorrow, I’m going to work hard at re-establishing my WOE and getting back to 8/16 IF. I’m hoping it’s not too much of a battle. I’m shopping tomorrow morning and not planning to bring anything into the house that can derail me. I’ve regained 11 lbs since my lowest recorded weight before the holidays. I’m NOT happy.
