First day off of 9 in row. Today will be normal Saturday chores, get those out if the way so I don't feel guilty. Some yard work this afternoon, cool day might get to 70.

A bit sore from increasing my workout again, gym will wait till tomorrow.

Thinking also of making a pot of soup chock full of veggies for quick heat up lunches. There is some local winter squash starting to appear in the markets. Maybe an African/ Moroccan type with squash or sweet potatoes and a bit spicy. Time to get out my soup book by Barbara Kafka for ideas. I tend to skip meals when I'm off work.

Have a list of partially finished projects that need to be completed to work on this week. Would make me feel really good to make a dent in those. Goal is to have the inside of my house painted and re-organized by next spring. Trying go get everything inside and out so it's easy care so I can do more things that I want to do instead of feeling like I'm always behind on chores.

Slept from a bit after 9 until 7:30. Guess I was tired. Woke up to 40 degrees and fog. Sun is now out, burning off the fog. Time to get this day moving.

The soup sounds like a good plan, when you are to busy to cook. You have so much to do everyday, I don't know if I could have your energy. Good needed sleep. Have a great day.

Have gotten through most of the normal chores I've neglected during the week, so house is better. A bit mere to finish, then on to other things. Actually I enjoy projects painting, redoing things. Most people would consider it work, to me it's a challenge, hey I love to prove this old gramma can do it!!! Will go to grandson's football game a granddaughter's Jr high softball tourney next sat. Who knows what else will come up.

I think some spicy Cajun sounds really good. Pulled out my Paul Prudhomme's Louisiana Kitchen cookbook. Maybe tomorrow as I'm out of garlic, have to have garlic, not going to the store. Will also get ingredients for soup. Tonight, will see what's in the pantry, frig, and garden. Always interesting, sort of my own chopped challenge.

I make a pot of chicken / veg soup every week just to have something quick when I'm hungry for a hot meal. It was feeling a bit pathetic week after week so I did a pork roast this week and have been putting it in different things like warming it to add to a spinach salad or adding the broth and cooking it in a pan w/broccoli. Last night I put it in a quesadilla. I'm feeling overwhelmed by projects this week... I don't know how you do it.

I overwhelm myself with projects all the time !!! Something this last year has taught me. My projects are mine, they are my decisions to do on my timeline. If that timeline changes because I choose to do something else, it was my decision. I quit stressing over them. I chose to get some of the started ones finished this week because it will make me feel good me that they re not completed. A few will be easy, painting some doors and re-hanging them in the basement. Painting and putting on some vent covers. Finishing the latch so my door to the garage closes properly. The big one is the spiral staircase that is mostly torn apart, not sure if it will be finished this week but hopefully will make some progress. I have most of the materials for everything except some staircase woodwork, some new pieces where different flooring goes together, and maybe a gallon of paint. I do things like that. I've been making "instant soups" all last week. Oh they turned out good. Had 2 kinds of beans in my frig all cooked some cannelloni and some adzuki (little meaty red ones) and my batch of kamut. I put 1/4 cup of beans, 1/4 cup of kamut chop up some fresh veggies and herbs always a tomato since I have lots from my yard. then add some veggie broth, have a box of organic low sodium. Microwave it at lunch, yummy! Twas an experiment that worked well. Had some pulled pork I'd made awhile ago in the freezer that was other meals. Must make a quick grocery run today, am down to the last 2 rolls of toilet paper, one for each bathroom.

Dang wish we had the option to edit everything. I meant to say that it will feel good to have these projects completed. Not re not completed.
