today was basically a write off. we had a family dinner for Christmas and I ate basically all day starting from lunch. it wasn't a traditional dinner but there was a great spready of food to pick from. I'm feeling good about my choice to have quinoa salad as the bulk of my meal instead of some of the heavier options. my goal today was simply to keep it under 2000 calories and have a good hike with the dog tomorrow morning to make up for the overage. I'm proud to say I managed to keep it under 1600 calories, as long as I'm not missing anything lol. for the most part I snacked on raw veg and a ton of ice water to keep myself from straying to the baked goods, cheese balls and all the delicious creamy dips including cream cheese nacho dip. today's another day. I knew I wouldn't be able to meet my 1200 limit today and I didn't want to stress during a much needed and long awaited gathering with my dad and siblings and nieces and nephews. Back on track tomorrow.
