Here's a NSV (non-scale victory) for ya! Just two months ago I was on two medications for blood pressure. Now I'm on none, and my blood pressure is so good! This morning it was 103/66!

Great job. I have BP issues too and am trying to lose weight. What macros do you use?

Mine floats right at 110/70 with a pulse of 60! I always thought 120/80 was good until I looked it up! Yeah that's a really good blood pressure to have Lonnie. I have always wandered about taking one of those stress tests to see what my heart is really undergoing now. I went from breaking a sweat taking a shower, to not breaking a sweat until I have been mowing for near an hour or so! It's crazy what one year of self care and the new concept of truly loving ourselves can do to us. Living proof!

Nesie, my macros are averaging around 44% carbs, 33% fat, and 23% protein. My ultimate goal is to get my protein up to 40%, but I haven't been able to do it so far.

Thanks, Jaime! I wish I had started taking care of myself sooner. Eating to live is a much better lifestyle than living to eat was. The food tasted better, but I didn't realize how it was poisoning me, sabotaging my abilities, and making me look and feel crappy. I'm in a much better place now, with a much better future.

Lonnie, Curious how many steps or miles you walk each day? I am not on BP meds, but definitely have to limit my salt etc. Would love to get mine low enough to where I can occasionally have Pho without stressing over the sodium LOL.

Thanks Lonnie! I definitely need to get walking. AND, there's plenty of beautiful places that are close.

I'm averaging between 5 and 6 miles per day, Jazzy. The most important part of that is that I strive to get 40 Heart Points everyday. I use Google Fit, which gives me Heart Points for fast paced activity. I walk as fast as I can stand, until I get 40 per day. I admit, there have been a handful of days where I didn't get my Heart Points in, for whatever reason, but I try to get them done everyday. To get the 40 points, it usually takes me about 50 minutes at a pace averaging about a mile in 18 minutes, and a distance of almost 3 miles. The rest of my daily distance is hiking, walking the dogs and other slower paced activities.
